New Vision Ministries Inc

A Non-profit organization that has come up with a new vision on how to save our children from the streets and get back our community. These children may come from families that are considered to be low income, poverty stricken, financially burdened and/or single parent, and broken homes.

OUR MISSION: To get and keep children off of the streets by keeping them active in sports, community activities and church while also teaching them to RESPECT and LOVE themselves and others!! We want to show children that there is more to life than the things that they see on an everyday basis.

NEW VISION SPORTS is a program that serves children from ages 5-18. Currently we have travel basketball, travel football, and the New Vision track team is underway! Our goal is to make sure the children in our program see and experience more than their everyday surroundings. We want the children to see life outside of their “hood," meet new people and see and seek bigger opportunities for their own lives.

New Vision Presents

Easy Breathing Youth Work Program

Within this program we teach children Work Ethic, Financial Literacy, credit building, how to be a productive citizen and what it means, goal listing and attainment, how to be accountable for yourself in all you do and most importantly about God. This program is built for young teens ages 13-16.

We look to take on children age 13 & 14 who want to work but cannot find work yet based off of their age. Or, teens that have never worked and are ready to get into the work force. We place these children within one of our small business and take them on as interns.

Instead of a paycheck they receive a pay stipend every two weeks of a set amount based upon the job they are doing, the amount of hours they work, and at a rate between $8-$10.

As the children go through the program and work the different positions their rate can go up and if space is available at one of the small businesses they are offered employment once they reach sixteen. The children are taught and expected to treat this opportunity as a real job and the parents are expected to do the same. Because of this parents must agree to the Childs schedule and agree to get them to work on time based upon the agreed upon schedule. Children must agree to not only work but attend the KNOWLEDGE classes once a month where they will learn financial literacy, Credit & Credit building and Life Skills classes. Parents must also agree to get their child to the classes. When possible some class will take place at the work site. Parents are invited to certain classes.

Children who go through the program are also eligible for a college scholarship upon their high school graduation! The amount of scholarship money is based upon what funding is available that current year.

Parents can sign their child up for the program at the age of twelve so they can be placed on the waiting list and after their thirteenth birthday we try to have a position waiting for them.
